Xara Xtreme vs. Illustrator -- The top Vector Graphics Software

If you're not familiar, Xara Xtreme is a UK piece of software that resembles PAINT. Don't be turned away quite yet though, because at worst Xara is PAINT on crack. And instead of pixels, it's based on SVG. The Program exports in any format you can think of and it'll do it in an eighth of the time Illustrator will.

Having spent many hours with both programs I can most definitely tell you which one is faster, easier to use, and more fun; Xara, hands down. And, once you get passed the 1 day learning curve, I guarantee you'll never open illustrator again. But don't stop there, it now has incredible photo support as well, however, I don't use that feature much.



Here are some new band logos I made with Xara Xtreme. In fact, everything in this blog was made with Xara Xtreme.

Anyhow, I'm back to freelancing! Expect to hear from me a little more often. Later today, I'll add some some of the stuff I've been working on.
